coffee time
Every day for me is coffee time. I love the going out and walking and then visiting a coffee shop in the neighborhood to just sit and people watch, maybe do some reading and writing, and do whatever else coffee culture demands. Going out here of coffee is a social thing. Cambodian people love going to coffee shops and sitting around. Lots of visiting and talking or just watching some social media app on their phones. There is no time limit and even the small shops never rush people. The coffee usually costs about $1 to $1.25. Some places I like its a little more. It never really matters because I just sit and borrow their wifi for however long. Internet access here is generally very good. If it does go sideways I just switch to 5g which is a brand new thing here. My iPhone will switch between 4g and 5g every so often but most often now it’s the higher speed.
writing and coffee times
It just so happens that writing comes along with coffee for me so while I started this whole thing yesterday, I like carrying the thing forward to see where it lands. More on that when I walk a little and see where it is I do land. Life on bearblog is simpler by degrees for all this. So I guess writing accelerates. See you down my Cambodian morning.
Downtown
We go to favored cafe by the river for breakfast. Then I spend me time at Noi Cafe. Pretty spot by the river.
From here it’s a walk. So many choices. The river offers a scene or two or I go to these side streets I love. The day stretches out here. No place to get to. No chores or tasks. Being retired in Cambodia is about choice. And choosing to do whatever I want.

I’ll take this.
